Froh! is an international network of journalists, artists, designers, and photographers who have one thing in common: the idea that journalism is social engagement.
That's why we founded the non-profit association Froh! e.V. in 2014. We want our work to stir the processes of social formation and create alternative public spaces. That's why, since 2009, we have been working non-profit, independently, and with the support of donations and public funding.

We collaborates with young people in the fields of journalism, photography, design, and art. Our work involves traveling internationally to conduct workshops and engage in various projects aimed at empowering young people to share their own stories and create a positive impact on society.
By providing skills and opportunities, Froh! strives to enable the youth to publish their narratives and reports, ultimately encouraging them to effect meaningful change.
The Froh! team comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds including journalism, design, and photography. With a strong presence across Europe, we have been collaborating for over a decade. Each project involves the contributions of numerous other people and creators without whom these initiatives wouldn't be possible.

In 2009, the first issue of Froh! Magazine was published, which was the very first cornerstone of the further development of Froh! e.V.. The initial motivation was to create a counterpart to the in general lamented decline of the traditional magazine journalism.
Over the course of its 7-year existence, Froh! magazine incorporated sustainable production, in-depth articles, and impactful photo essays. It was through this journey that Froh! NGO took shape, and officially establishing itself in 2014.
