Design, Photographie, Journalism, Magazine, Workshop
The Indiecon Summer School is a five-day intensive course in independent publishing that was held for the second time in the week before the Indiecon. It brought together emerging talent from the domains of design, photography, illustration, journalism and the arts. In a rapid publishing project, the participants produced a printed magazine named 41–43 which features a single topic.
It was already clear at the beginning of the year that this issue was going to be a political one. Donald Trump had just won the presidential election and, after shock and anger, another feeling was stirring in us: that something had to be done about it. Together with committed journalists, photographers, illustrators and designers, we had the opportunity to explore different forms of resistance.
The fact that they were all found, written, designed and produced within five days is also testimony to the smooth work of the contributors, who met all challenges with creative resistance. For this, a big thank you to those involved.

However, not only political but very different forms of resistance have found their place in the contributions of this issue. Some are quiet (p. 16, p. 54), others rather loud (p. 10, p. 38). some take place on a small scale (p. 71), others want the big picture (p. 74).
