The Indiecon Summer School is a five-day intensive course in independent publishing that was held for the second time in the week before the Indiecon. It brought together emerging talent from the domains of design, photography, illustration, journalism and the arts. In a rapid publishing project, the participants produced a printed magazine named 41–43 which features a single topic.

In this issue, we dared to take a snapshot and searched for the stories in this microcosm. We followed them into damp cellars, found them in rubbish bins and wrote them down over coffee with neighbours from years ago and tomorrow. The fact that the booklet was produced in only five days, from the first idea to the finished print, can really only be explained by the invisible power in the Oberhafen.
